Trouble Upsizing Plugs?

I actually had this same issue when my guages were at 2 due to a horribly painful accident i have scarring and it still is a pain. But the way to get around using tapers is to take your current plug and add a few wraps of electrical tape until its tight in the ear and wait a few days/week until its loose again and add to it. before you know it you will be in the inches and it took little or no effort.
