My mum completely hates tattoo's and i want to get one when im old enough!!!!?

i don't think my mum accepts that im into rock music and want to get a tattoo when im old enough. she hates a load of piercings. i just wish she'd accept who i am. she said to me: i don't care about you wanting to get a load of piercings or stretchers but PLEASE don't gte a tattoo! im not a goth and i think that pleases her but id get one meaningful to me because i know it'll last forever. so ive got two questions basically. what shall i do about my mum and I? and what meaningful tattoo's shall i get? :)
