Is there a way to waterproof a canvas painting?

Clear tape? You might be able to find glare proof clear tape. Or perhaps "varnish", idk if varnish is waterproof though, so you should look into that. You can also use seran wrap and staples. There are also solid flat pieces of plastic (the ones they use in frames) that you can put over the painting and staple to the wood.
