Info on fleshies/stretchers please?

Long story short i'm writing a book and i need some info on fleshies. A guy is going to have one but i want to keep it to the size that will go back to normal if taken out. There is a particular ear for guys that if pierced indicates they're gay. I was told this once but didn't care to remember which, and i want to avoid this. Please and thank you
